Why fighting in Legendary is not that simple as it seems?

You were bored at work/school. Got the idea to install a new game to help time pass faster. Found BAHA, installed it. First days were confusing, you joined a random alliance. Learned the basics of the game on the way to lvl 80+. You are pleased with your current  alliance, yet you ask yourself how far can you advance in BAHA, what’s left to achieve. You put yourself in mind to move into a top alliance, to win higher leagues in Alliance Event. Your new alliance does a lot of raids , yet they can’t pass Diamond/Elite League. You start wondering about it, “why can’t we succeed?”. You’re stuck in a dead place, your alliance is not progressing, on the other hand you’re getting rejected by top alliances, what can you do to break the deadlock? If you start jumping from alliance to alliance, looking for raids. you’ll get a big amount of quantums in a short time but other people will start recognizing you as a jumper, by their opinion a “leecher” who doesn’t contribute with activity points but comes when rewards are being shared. How did you get in this situation, what were your mistakes?

There are two kinds of alliances in BAHA: Casual and Performance. The road between them is not easy and a lot of sacrifices must be made.

“Refreshing” players – Steps:

–  Inactive 7 days– Directly kicked out of alliance. When the member is back, he can re-apply. Keeping inactive members makes your alliance look bad for players who search for a new home, occupies a place out of 50 who’s not producing AP(alliance activity points-used to start raids), fewer quantums in Alliance Events, and lowers the moral and the will to play for other alliance members. No exceptions for friends, it will only start a bad habit.

–  Constant low activity over weeks – What to do when a member who contributes weekly 2000-5000 activity, lvl 70+ enters the game once a day, chats 20 minutes with alliance, and you see him next day again? Even if the guy has the best book of jokes and charisma in the game, low activity over a week means he doesn’t complete Daily Quests, Expedition. He’s on the line between Inactive and Casual. It’s an even more heartbreaking decision to kick the member, when 2-3 months ago he was very active, 15000+ activity, and you consider him a friend. A friend who might be busy in real life, and you get over his inactivity for 2-3 weeks, but when it passes over a month, measures must be taken, and the decision should be explained to him before the “short break”.

– Missing raids – During Solo Event, not many pay attention to raids, but in Alliance Event, every member participating is crucial for winning the league. In lower alliances, raids are problematic to end in allocated time before final bonus RAID chest expire. With higher level members, higher raid tier unlocked, it also comes the time to set all members a time limit from start till end, before moving to next raid. In Legendary League, it’s all about doing as many tier 7 raids as possible in 5-6 days . You can start raids on Sunday, finish them on Monday(at 23+ hours before event begins), and save bonus chests for Tuesday. This means, depending by the amount of AP the alliance has, raids duration will vary from 24h, 12h to 6h, and even 1h raids, for everyone to hit. If you miss enough raids, you might not see the next Legendary Event in the same alliance. Here will come those who yell, “it’s just a game, I have a real life”. But think about it, if everyone starts coming with apologies every event, the alliance can say goodbye to Legendary League. If others who are 40+, with 3 kids and an angry wife, can find the time to do it, why can’t you?  (Casual-Performance).

–Not respecting raid rules – Each raid has 32 spots. The first 3 players who register highest amount of damage in a spot, will receive bronze/silver chests. There are 32×3=96 chests in total. For the fairest split of chests between alliance members: 96/50= 1.92 (2)chests for each player. From here, the general rule comes. “3/1” – exactly 3 members should hit a spot, the first two register damage, and the 3^rd finish it. Each player must attack ONLY two different spots(their two  chests out of 96). If these rules are not learned and respected, your opponents will take advantage in event. Clearing a spot alone,  is the worst mistake possible to be made, destroying two chests for other members, less quantums in event and 60 AP less (each silver/bronze chest when opened, brings 30 AP in alliance). When 3 players are already registered in a spot, the 4^th, 5^th. who come to hit will take the chances of first 3 to gain a chest, and it will only make the raid last longer than it should. Same for hitting more than 2 different spots. This is one of the hardest steps, and takes a lot of time to teach them all the rules.

–Donations during event – Each donated quantum counts in Alliance Event, that’s why its not indicated to request Arena 9-10 heroes at this time. Donate, get xp, lvl up faster. Each small advantage matters in Legendary League.

-A common situation found in most alliances –Level 107 player, arena 10. Level 88 player, arena 8. Both apply to your alliance. Between them, for an Alliance Event, most of us would be willing  to pick the higher level player. Bigger arena, more quantums in raid chest, right? All’s good, until the lvl 107 starts to miss 5 out of 10 raids during event. If you keep collecting high level players who don’t respect the rules, miss raids, just for your alliance to look good in top 10, then don’t expect to achieve better performances in events. Players who have both qualities, high arena and free time to hit raids, are rare to find nowadays, so its better to get a lower level and teach them everything you know.

-Making hard decision to send old friends on a “trip” – It will make you question yourself, what was your goal when you began to play BAHA. Make friends, be the best, enjoy the game.. But in what order?

-Noisy/Agressive members, that might cause problems in Global Chat after being kicked – Should not be a concern at all, after 24h no one will remember. Here you can imply the words “It’s a game. Our alliance. Our rules we all respect, that’ve been explained at the entrance”.  Don’t get involved in long discussions about this subject, leave chat for few hours, then start looking for a replacement.

If you don’t have time to check BAHA a few times/day or remember “strict” rules,  then join a Casual alliance. Look for people you have things in common with, friendly atmosphere, have fun during events, improving together slowly but steady.
